I'm a fan of sports and the State Farm Insurance Cedar Park industry scandal. Although insurance makes our modern life and way of life, it is full of problems. Insurance companies routinely abuse their customers. The delay, denial and standard operating procedures to minimize the claim. But they also pay a lot of claims, too, and deserve to make a profit.
50 state insurance regulators are in the State Farm Cedar Park TX. They try to protect the consumer. The rules pretty much just like a pendulum, swing low. But, right now in Florida, insurance regulators' has come to the regulation on the pendulum. Insurance market in Florida has put regulators and state legislators, and consumers are going to get burned.
During the past 15 years, as a group of Florida insurance companies have been unprofitable. Dozens of insurance companies have ceased operations in the state. Rate increases simply does not negate the benefit of consumers. As the insurance companies stop writing policies in Florida, reducing competition and limiting consumers' choices with higher premiums close, makes it worse.
After Hurricane Andrew in response to the exits from the insurance company, Florida legislators Citizens Property Insurance Corporation (CPIC), an unprofitable state-run insurance company that sells it below cost made policies. It's ridiculous pricing, CPIC more than half of Florida homeowners insurance company, insurance company makes linked with exits. The CPIC is losing money, and is owned by the state, these losses ultimately taxpayers and consumers will need to bail out yet another bankrupt corporation.
With the departure of the State Farm Florida, CPIC is 80% insuring homes in the state at the end. CPIC is nearly bankrupt. All it will take more than one leading to catastrophic storm over it.
Regulation of insurance companies and more recently was shown in New Jersey.New Jersey drivers, it's almost impossible to buy car insurance at any price found. In 2003, lawmakers and regulators have the discretion and enact reforms that were brought back to competitive pricing for car insurance. Rates are falling and once again citizens can find cheap car insurance in New Jersey.
State regulators sometimes do more harm than good. Sometimes, they're perfect.
